Sounds great, what will I be doing?
The role involves managing incoming referrals to Hestia's Newham services, including reviewing referral information, liaising with referrers for any missing details, and inputting client data into the case management system. In addition to referral processing, the role includes responding to enquiries via phone and email, providing one-off or short-term support to survivors through listening, information sharing, and basic safety advice. The person in this position works closely with team members to maintain consistent phone coverage and supports the wider team as needed. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate records in line with Hestia's procedures, supporting the development of administrative processes, and collaborating with external agencies to stay informed about available local resources. The role requires a strong commitment to equality, confidentiality, and professional boundaries, ensuring all clients, particularly those from hard-to-reach groups, can access services respectfully and effectively.
What do I need to bring with me?
You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.
