Right now, we are looking for a Community Engagement Practitioner to play a pivotal role in our Mental Health Service in Enfield.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

Working as part of a multidisciplinary NHS team, our practitioners help people build confidence, connect with their community, and move forward in their recovery journey. By offering one-to-one support, group activities, and access to local resources, the service focuses on what matters most to each individual—whether that's building social connections, finding purpose, or learning new coping skills.

What do I need to bring with me?

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.

Here's what the team will be looking for

The ideal candidate will possess an NVQ Level 4 in Care (or equivalent) or have at least two years of experience in a mental health setting, with a strong understanding of mental health, recovery, and co-production. They should be experienced in collaborative work with professionals, services, and communities, and be knowledgeable in care planning, risk assessment, recovery tools, and the Mental Health Act. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and group facilitation skills are essential, along with the ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in IT systems, particularly electronic case management, is required, as well as resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed practice while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
