The service you will work in….

Working as part of a team and wider multi-agency service, providing support at all times and enforcement when  necessary to offenders residing at the Approved Premises. In particular to monitor and encourage compliance, guide, advise and supervise residents, all the time ensuring that public protection is at the very core of all work carried out.

A day in this role looks like...

As a Intervention Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Approved Premises. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.

A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:

  • The capacity to maintain firm boundaries, using  authority legitimately whilst working pro-socially  and positively with people
  • An understanding of the emotional and  behavioural impact of trauma and the ability to  work with people who may be display a range of  emotions, behaviours and communication challenges
  • The ability to engage and communicate effectively the others to provide a flexible and responsive approach
  • Being optimistic about the possibility of change and people's capacity to change
  • The ability to learn quickly, gather information  and make defensible decisions
  • The ability to receive, process and accurately record detailed information, sharing it with others as appropriate and within the framework of confidentiality
  • The ability to work as part of a team, leading by example, taking a pragmatic, hands on approach to practical tasks such as cooking, gardening and other ‘household' chores and leisure activities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding business and ability to address them appropriate.
