Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The role empowers service users to manage their wellbeing, build independence, and achieve personal goals through tailored support and co-produced plans. It involves liaising with external agencies, facilitating group and community-based activities, and promoting social inclusion. The position ensures users understand and engage with the service, while actively monitoring safety and wellbeing. Team collaboration and flexibility are essential to meeting service goals and maintaining high standards of care.

We are seeking someone happy to do this on a Saturday and Sunday.

What do I need to bring with me?

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.

Here's what the team will be looking for

This role requires someone with experience supporting individuals facing mental health and/or dual diagnosis challenges, either in a paid or voluntary capacity. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mental health issues, relevant legislation such as the Care Programme Approach (CPA), and recovery-oriented approaches. They'll demonstrate empathy, effective communication, and the ability to support people with dignity, even in challenging situations. A team player who can also work independently, they'll bring strong IT, literacy, and numeracy skills, along with a calm, non-judgemental, and anti-discriminatory attitude. Willingness to work weekends is essential, as is a good understanding of safeguarding and a proactive, solution-focused mindset. Optimism about change and belief in each individual's potential for recovery are key.
