We are Hestia. We make a difference.

At Hestia, we are guided by our core values and are dedicated to fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organisation. We provide a range of services, including Domestic Abuse support, Modern Slavery assistance, Mental Health & Complex Needs care, and Criminal Justice. Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence.

The service you will work

This service forms part of the North Cluster of mental health supported housing services. There is a medium support service within the North Cluster consisting of 2 projects – 19 Coningham Road and 21 Sulgrave Road. Consideration should be given to sharing staff and other resources with the medium support service.

Nia House already exists as high supported housing and it is currently mixed gender. It is expected that the project will always operate as mixed gender and understood that this may be balanced equally or unequally, depending on what is needed for the borough at the time.

The service will have a high level of support and will need to provide a service to people with complex needs, including forensic histories and chaotic lifestyles that could involve substance misuse issues. People living at the service may not be compliant with medication and may need support in this area. The project will be staffed with waking staff 24 hours a day.

All services within the North Cluster will be expected to participate in steering group meetings with other mental health support providers, H&F Housing Advisors and Tri-borough Commissioners and Contracts Officers. Services will also be expected to build positive relationships and work closely with mental health care management teams.
