We are Hestia. We make a difference.

At Hestia, we are guided by our core values and are dedicated to fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organisation. Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence. Right now, we are looking for a Team Leader to play a pivotal role in our Employment Services in Hounslow.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

As the Team Leader for our Connect to Work service, you will lead and develop a team of Employment Specialists to deliver high-quality, evidence-based employment support for people facing barriers to work, including those with mental health conditions and disabilities. You will provide day-to-day leadership, supervision and performance management, creating a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes recovery through employment. Working closely with local partners, primary care networks, community organisations and employers, you will help embed employment support within wider support pathways and ensure the service delivers meaningful outcomes for participants.

You will be responsible for monitoring service performance, maintaining compliance with IPS fidelity principles, safeguarding requirements and organisational policies, and driving continuous improvement across the service. The role will also involve developing strong relationships with employers and stakeholders, supporting inclusive recruitment practices, promoting job retention and workplace adjustments, and contributing to the ongoing development and innovation of the service. As this is a community-based role, you will work throughout the Hounslow borough to meet the needs of participants and partners

What do I need to bring with me?

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience delivering or managing employment support services and leading teams through effective supervision, coaching and performance management. You will be confident building relationships with stakeholders and employers, managing service targets and quality standards, and using IT systems and databases to monitor performance and outcomes. You will possess excellent communication skills, a person-centred approach, and an understanding of the barriers people can face when seeking employment, particularly in relation to mental health and disability. You will also have knowledge of safeguarding, equality, data protection and health and safety requirements, along with an awareness of the Equality Act 2010 and employment-related legislation. IPS training or a willingness to undertake it is essential.
