Right now, we are looking for a Waking Night Worker to play a pivotal role in our Complex Needs Service in Tower Hamlets.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The service provides 24 hours supported accommodation for high needs mental health service users. It compromises of 11 units which offers higher levels of 
support in comparison to the wider supported living pathway.
Service users at Teresa House may have treatment resistant mental health needs that are complicated by substance misuse, challenging behaviour including low level offending and long-term physical health conditions. All support is delivered in-line with the principles of trauma-informed recovery/empowerment/co-production.

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. Here's what the team will be looking for

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting people with mental health and complex needs, with substance misuse experience desirable. They should have a strong understanding of recovery approaches and co-production, with the ability to design and deliver activities that build confidence, reduce anxiety, and support a self-directed recovery journey.

They must be resilient, maintaining high service standards in challenging situations, and have knowledge of legislation relevant to mental health crises, including welfare reform, the Care Act, and housing pathways. Skills in assessment, co-producing support and safety plans, and auditing them are essential.

Proficiency in MS Office and case management systems is required, along with good knowledge of basic building safety and repairs. The candidate should have excellent spoken and written English, be able to handle petty cash accurately, and work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
