We are Hestia, a charity that supports adults and children in times of crisis. We help more than 18,500 people every year across London, Berkshire and the South East. We work with people from all backgrounds and ages, in various challenging environments. We also campaign and advocate for the issues that affect our service users. You can learn more about our work here: Campaigning & Advocacy.
We are the home of innovative projects such as UK Says No More, Safe Spaces and the Bright Sky app, and Art is Freedom. These initiatives aim to raise awareness, provide support and empower survivors of domestic abuse and modern slavery.
We have over 750 employees and 600 volunteers who build honest and respectful relationships with our service users. We collaborate and work with them to support and encourage them to lead their own recovery process. We are proud of our staff and inspired by the resilience of the people we serve.
Underpinning all of our services are teams covering Finance, IT, HR, Fundraising and Comms.
We support people in the criminal justice system focusing on recovery and rehabilitation.
We provide services supporting old and young people, the homeless, supported accommodation, registered care homes and day centres, floating community support, and mental health crisis alternative services.
We are the largest provider of modern slavery response in London and the South East and support over 3000 survivors annually.
